125 Thoughts on Reconstructing the Foundational Theory System of Information Science Hot!
Yang Jianlin
Compared with traditional social sciences such as sociology, the discipline status of information science is obviously lower. One of the important reasons for this difference in status is that information science has not yet formed a widely accepted foundational theory system, and the disputes in the field of information science are more controversial. Moreover, scholars both in and outside the discipline lack deep knowledge and awareness of the subject. Based on the analysis of the theory systems and the paradigms in information science, this paper explores the relationship among the research fields of the discipline, constructs an architecture model of generalized information system, then gives the basic idea of integrating the existing theoretical systems, and presents six suggestions for reconstructing the foundational theory system of the discipline. The model is the basis for reconstructing the foundational theory system of information science. It unifies three discipline paradigms, which are the management science paradigm based on the information management framework and the knowledge management framework, the intelligence-based soft science paradigm, and the information-based library and information science paradigm.

148 Research Dominance Between Institutions and Its Proximity Mechanism in Research Collaboration: A Case Study of China s Biomedical Field Hot!
He Chaocheng, Wu Jiang, Wei Ziyao, Liu Fuzhen
When disciplines are closely related and information resources are integrated, many scholars are concerned about investigating the factors that influence scientific research cooperation. However, prior studies have considered all the collaborations equally, which implies that if the names of two organizations are mentioned in the same paper, one collaboration is counted. In addition, most studies have failed to systematically and comprehensively examine the relationships between research collaboration and the key identified factors. Thus, in this study, we propose the concept and measurement of “research dominance” and examine the influence of multi-dimensional proximities on the diffusion of research dominance. We collect data related to the co-publications of Chinese institutions in Life Sciences & Biomedicine fields during the period of 2013-2017 from Web of Science. Social network analysis and gravity model shed light on the pattern and the role of multi-dimensional proximities on research dominance. In particular, research dominance is seriously polarized, but increasingly decentralized and reciprocal. The cumulative research dominance of the dominant institution and participating institution significantly and positively influences the diffusion of research dominance. Moreover, close cognitive, institutional, and social proximities facilitate the formation of research dominant relationship between the dominant and participating institutions, while geographical distance demonstrates a barrier influence on the diffusion of research dominance. This study provides a comprehensive insight of diversified modes of scientific research cooperation, evolution, and their influencing factors. It is important to note that research dominance can be extended to other fields as well.

158 Financial Informatics: An Important Subdiscipline of Information Science Hot!
Ding Xiaowei, Su Xinning
To date, financial intelligence research and financial information science research have received little attention from the field of information science in academia, with only sporadic achievements, and they have not yet reached a place where financial information science has been established as a discipline. From an investigation of its macro background, we can see that such factors as national strategy, risk prevention and control, technical conditions, and the disciplines of information science and finance jointly call for financial information science to be established as a discipline in its own right, and to be developed urgently. The main research contents of financial information science are the definition of core concepts; research contents that have been transformed from information science; and research objects with rich connotations brought through financial practices. Some key points in the establishment and development of financial information science are bringing about the improvement of information science itself, effectuating the integration of information science and finance, attaining the transformation-of-thinking mindset, and completing the transformation from financial data to financial intelligence.

171 Research on Network Library Information Storage Model Based on Knowledge Unit Mining Hot!
Liu Dongliang, Wang Junguang, Zhang Jie, Zhao Haoyu, Zhao Wei
In the process of information mining, channel congestion, low channel utilization, and weak throughput lead to high data storage load. This paper presents a design of a network library information storage model based on knowledge unit mining. Through the design of the spatial model of the information type of the network library, massive data classification is realized. After the classification, the target storage information of the network library is allocated to different channels in a multi-path fashion. The load characteristics of the storage channels are decomposed to ensure the balanced load of each information storage and transmission channel. Finally, the information storage model of the network library is constructed to store the library information. The experimental results showed that there is a reduction in the delay of information storage node and the abnormal number of channels. The frame rate of information loss is also reduced. Therefore, it can be concluded that the information storage model of the network library based on knowledge unit mining plays an important role in reducing the information load on the library, and can be applied to the storage of network library resources in information mining.

178 Selection of Policy Tools for Intellectual Property Strategies Based on Semantic Recognition Hot!
Lin Deming, Wang Yukai, Ding Kun
This study focuses on the selection of policy tools for Chinese intellectual property (IP) strategies. A creative method that integrates the bibliometric method of policy documents and deep learning method of semantic recognition is proposed to investigate how policy tools are matched in the annual IP strategy promotion plan, with specific reference to the IP strategy targets and guiding policy tools in the programmatic IP strategy documents. The results indicate that the matching reflects the status and evolution of policy tools options based on the IP strategy targets and IP strategy execution. To sum up, the choice of policy tools for the implementation of Chinese IP strategies is better matched with the strategic goals and guidance policy tools of each phase, but the option of compulsive policy tools is very extensive. The best matched policy tools with strategy targets are conducting patent information retrieval analysis and improving the efficiency and quality of intellectual property rights (IPR) examinations. The best matched policy tools with strategy execution are enhancing the judicial protection of IP and actively participating in the cooperation and exchange of international IP. Conversely, the improvement of the less matched policy tools containing the IP pilot project, training of IP talents and relative base, policy tools of agriculture and forestry IP, and so on is urgently required.

186 Construction of a Temporal Co-word Network and Its Dynamic Visualization Hot!
Liu Ziqiang, Yue Lixin, Xu Haiyun, Fang Shu
Co-word analysis is a basic analysis method in the field of information. Exploring the construction of a temporal Co-word network and its dynamic visualization has certain significance for improving and enriching classical Co-word analysis methods. In this paper, a method of constructing a temporal Co-word network and its dynamic visualization is proposed. First, the time label of keywords is extracted and then the adjacent form data of the temporal Co-word network are constructed by using the time label of keywords and their co-occurrence relationships. Then, a time-stratified Co-word network map is constructed, on the basis of the visualization method, and the dynamic visualization of the temporal Co-word network is based on interactive visualization technology, thus effectively revealing the dynamic evolution process of the Co-word network. The feasibility and validity of the method proposed in this paper have been verified through empirical study of data mining in the field of Library and Information Science in China.

Ma Chao, Li Gang, Chen Sijing, Mao Jin, Zhang Ji
In order to identify the influencing factors of multimodal data in online reviews of tourism products effectively, the online tourism product optimization method based on user-generated content is explored. From the perspective of data fusion analysis, we apply feature fusion methods to multimodal data in the online review of tourism products. Based on real online review data of tourism products, first, we performed a descriptive statistical analysis. Then, we utilized machine learning and deep learning methods, performed text vector embedding, image content recognition, and fusion of graphic feature vectors. Finally, we constructed multimodal online comment usefulness to classify models for model testing. The experimental results show that compared with single-modal comments containing text only or images only, the multimodal comments combining images and texts can predict the usefulness of online reviews better, and combine the incentive mechanism of comments better to improve the quality of online comments. In addition, the multimodal comments combining images and texts can be used to leverage the potential value of user-generated content, provide optimization ideas for product providers, and provide decision support for product consumers.

208 Common Information Need Mechanism of Strategic Emerging Industries Based on Block Resource Models Hot!
Wang Xuedong, Feng Shan, Hu Chun
Currently, strategic emerging industries are being promoted to the national strategic position. From the perspective of industries, because industrial information resources are a collection of information resources at the enterprise level, the information needs at the industry level have more universalization. By clarifying the block resource models, i.e., structural model and driving model, the common information need mechanism of strategic emerging industries can be analyzed. This study proposes the block resource models of product data, operational data, user demand data, and brand data. In the structural model, the most basic element of sustained development of the industry and enterprise is the “product.” Thus, information needs that regard the product as the core become the core elements of the structural model. Among the structural models of industries-enterprises-products-users, the user demand, benefit, and network cohesion driver models drive the information needs to serve their products. Based on three driver models, this study considers the professional knowledge service system of strategic emerging industries as an example, and proposes future development for system improvement. Furthermore, it aims to provide a basis and reference for the information resource service platform of strategic emerging industries, so as to promote the operation and development of strategic emerging industries.

Jiang Tingting, Wu Xi, Xu Yaping, Wang Yaoxuan
The article analyzes the content of 62 empirical articles on eye tracking technology published in the field of information behavior from 2003 to 2018. Based on the analyzed content, the paper constructs a code system including five first-level categories: eye tracker type, eye tracker brand, experiment design, data collection method, and data analysis. This forms the basis of the subsequent encoding and statistical analysis of literature. The research finds the following: (1) The topics of research using eye tracking technology in this field are concentrated mainly on searching, reading, and purchasing. (2) The options for eye movement equipment and experimental environment are limited. (3) Research methods are diversified and qualitative and quantitative research is combined. (4) In the current research on information behavior, fixation metrics and saccadic metrics are used most commonly. (5) Using the eye tracking technology to study the user information behavior of mobile devices has become a trend. (6) Visualization of eye movements as a concise and clear method of information presentation, which is conducive to strengthening the analysis of researchers and enhancing readers understanding, will become a trend in future research. After more than ten years of development, eye tracking technology is now increasingly applied in the field of information behavior. Using content analysis, this study reveals the characteristics of research that uses the eye tracking technology, which provides reference for the study of information behavior.
