Abstract The essence of intelligence studies is to solve the problem of incomplete information in the process of management decisions. One application area is the application of intelligence products to the process of management decision making. The publishing industry has entered the era of big data, which has greatly affected the traditional publishing industry in China. The various data in industrial chains of publishing have both the characteritics of big data and the outstanding characteristics of the industry. At present, there is little related research in China. Because of this, the decision-making process of publishing management was taken as an example. The method of intelligence analysis and actual data from the publishing industry were used to carry out the research. An applicable analysis model was proposed, and the index evaluation system of topic selection was constructed. Actual data were used to carry out related experiments and analysis. The experimental results showed that the proposed data model was practical, laying the foundation for the construction of the big data platform in the future.
